Hamburg-based Contemporary Artists’ Group Show
Tokyo here we come!
The debut exhibition of Hiromart Gallery Tokyo titled “Tokyo Here We Come!” consists of ten artists based in Hamburg, Germany. Exhibiting artists are active in a wide variety of art scenes ranging from International Art Fairs to museum and art galleries. Hiromart Gallery Tokyo is proud to announce that “Tokyo Here We Come!” will be the artists’ first exhibition in Japan.
At “Tokyo Here We Come!,” you will see and experience the latest trends in contemporary art. Not only seeing the hot artworks, you can also find their spread team works as a group, connections, and vibrant energy to Japan.
We will present artworks made for this exhibition, as well as limited version of booklets.
Their visit to Tokyo is not scheduled to date but the video interviewed and edited by Paul Del Rosario will be shown at the gallery. The special events of Interactive art including live-painting and session will be hold through live-connection between Hamburg and Tokyo.

Artists:
Ki Yoon Ko (American) + Igor Maier (German)
They mainly work as a solo artist although they start making their collaborated artwoks last year - it started for fun, but after showing their collaborated works at the exhibition, it received a good reputation and become regular exhibitors of variety exhibitions held in North America and Europe. Their originality are appealing in a great mixture of their uniqueness.
Ki Yoon Ko studied at Virginia Commonwealth University, Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, and San Francisco Art Institute. His first solo exhibition was held in San Francisco in 2000. With this as a beginning of his art career, he has been exhibiting internationally at variety group and solo shows held in Hamburg, London and so forth. Since 2005, his art works are presented at International Art Fairs such as Art Brussels, Arco Madrid and so forth.
Currently he lives and works based in Hamburg, Germany.
Igor Maier was born in Tales, Kyrgyzstan in 1982 and emigrated to Germany when he was 9 years old. After graduated a fashion school in 2005, he studied graphic design and Illustration. He has been taking a part at the group shows held in Germany since 2007, and also accepted at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 2009.

Gabriel Dubois (Canadian)
Born in Ontario, Canada in 1981, Gabriel Dubois studied Fine Arts at Emily Carr Institute Art and Design, Vancouver, Canada. After exhibiting at the group show held in Vancouver in 2003, he has been taking part at the number of group shows held in different countries such as Canada, Germany, Holland, Sweden, U.K., and so forth. He had his solo shows 6 times since 2006. Currently he lives and works in London, U.K.

moki (German)
Born in Brilon, Germany in 1982, moki studied at Academy of fine arts, Hamburg and grad school. A group show she exhibited in 2002 as the start, she has been taking part at the number of group shows. Her solo exhibitions are being held since 2004. In 2009, she had her solo show at Jack Fisher Gallery in USA. There are published books of her drawings and comics. Since 2001, she lives and works based in Hamburg, Germany.
moki who paints surrealism, also does a variety of activities such as animation films, comic books and so forth. She is a member of “from-bee-to-bee”.

Eilert Janssen (German)
Born in Varel, Germany, Eilert Janssen studied at Bildkunst akademie Hamburg. His first solo show was held in 2004 at heliumcowboy artspace in Hamburg, Germany. Currently, he lives and works in Berlin, Germany.

Annabelle Dorn (German)
Born in Hamburg, Germany in 1984, Annabelle Dorn studied at Berlin University of the Arts (UdK), her professors are Eboy and Henning Wagenbreth. Currently she lives and works in Hamburg, Germany, at the same time she studies at the HAW Hamburg.

Wieselwelt
Gerald Moll (German)
Born in Düsseldorf in 1971. He studied at the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg and Düsseldorf at the classes of Anke Feuchtenberger and Wolf Erlbruch. He was awarded TASCHEN Verlag - Best Web Portfolio, Red Dot Award,
Unilever price for design and ADC New York - Merrit Award. Currently he lives and works in Hamburg, has been giving lectures at Design School Schwerin.

Gluttony
NERDxQBRK (German)
Two Brothers, Christoph (NERD) and Flo (QBRK) who make Urban Art.
QBRK is born in Hamburg, Germany in 1982. He combines his experiences and impression in a fine blend of illustrative elements like shapes, typography, graffiti and characters as point of origin. QBRK and NERD are also known as the brothers collaborative works but in this exhibition they will present their individual works.

Bear-faced Spirit
1010 (German)
Born in 1976. He lives and works in Hamburg, Germany. 1010, known as street artist, made a large mural with moki for the Urban Art Project as part of Leuphana University’s orientation programe in 2009.
He had showed some of his artworks at the group show held at neurotitan gallery in Berlin in Feb-Mar, 2010.

Philipp Bergmeister (Austrian)
Born in Austria. He makes full use of a projector. His big art project
Town2Town, which took over 6 months and is started from Germany,
India, China, Japan, USA, Argentina, then return to Germany, is
successfully completed in 2005. He continues to hold large-scale
projects since then.
A monthly event Sketch Club is started in 2009 as his part of art project:
to present live-online visual arts which made together with other artists.
Paul Del Rosario (American)
Born in California USA. He lives in Japan since 1991.
He made music clips for Japanese bands and his visual art series of
Tokyo urban life.
