Hiromart Gallery is delighted to announce the opening of Focus: Oil Paint.

The exhibition features selected oil paintings by Sachie Kashima, Josephine Rossing, Masanobu Sakakibara, and Frank Spidale.

These four artists, passionate about oil paint, explore the creative possibilities of the medium, its techniques and textures through their unique expressions.

We hope this exhibition will provide an opportunity for visitors to discover a deeper fascination with oil painting and experience the works of these artists.

Sachie Kashima

She express the diversity of emotion through surreal scenes with vibrant color compositions.

Born in Saitama in 1979. Graduated from Musashino Art University,

Josephine Rossing

Her source of inspiration comes from images from her life experiences, places, and things she has experienced and seen. She depicts those images from her memories, adding light, sounds, and colors.

Born in Stockholm, Sweden. She studied art and graduated Halmstad Art School in 1997, and Domen Art School in Sweden in 2001. Currently she resides and works in Tokyo.

Masanobu Sakakibara

He pursues that fuse of his admiration for video game and traditional painting techniques of Western art into his imaginary scene, inspired by the feelings and realizations he gained from experiences and daily leaning.

Born in 1981 in Kitami, Hokkaido. He studied painting at Kanazawa College of Art in Ishikawa pref., and graduated in 2004. Currently resides in Saitama. In 2019, his work accepted for the Shell Art Award.

Frank Spidale

The depiction of suburban landscape of Chicago has been his recurring subject matter for over two decades.

He received his BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and his MFA from American University D.C. He was included in the 100 artists to watch in Modern Painters in 2012.
