Artist Statement on Between Two Buildings:
Liminal spaces can be found in most any town or city. They are the transitional spaces between architecture, often ignored, though necessary for the utility of every home, office or shopping center. Walk down a street and peer between two buildings; it is one of the few spaces consistently left unoccupied and absent of human presence. Filled with random detritus, the ubiquitous air conditioner and chance foliage, it has a consistent aesthetic (if one can call it that). Yet in this accidental aesthetic there is an appeal to appreciate what is typically overlooked. To value the beauty of what it provides, light, air, greenery, and even space for a recycling bin.

American artist. He grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of educators.
In 2005, he completed his B.A. with Honors in painting at Towson University. He completed his M.F.A. in painting and drawing in 2013, receiving the Dean's Medal for academic excellence. He has exhibited nationally and internationally in group and solo exhibitions.
We presented his solo exhibition in 2023.
