Artist Statement on Half Made Heaven:
Through these paintings, I hope to share a range of landscapes—from serene natural settings to layered urban environments—that reflect moments inspired by Tranströmer’s poetry. My aim is to capture not only the scenes we see but also the emotions they stir within us, pealing through the long shadows of winter to glimpse the arrival of spring. I hope these works invite viewers to take a moment, look closely, and find their own meaning in these spaces.
